Moor Graphix is the culmination of my life's work in design, teaching and community activism. The word Moor comes from my name Morrison. Morrison was my Grandfather's middle name (William Morrison), being intoxicated by history I started to research my given name. I found that the name Morrison is very old and some of its European origins are found in Scotland. In a book called Fairbairn’s Crest I found that Morrison was one of the leading families of Great Britain and Ireland. I found a crest that represented the Morrison clan. The Morrison crest I found included 3 faces of Moors. This then became a personal crest for me and guided my choice of the company name of Moor Graphix.
Moor Graphix is a design firm whose single goal is to help entreprenuers and small companies realize their visual voice. For more than 30 years I have provided visual graphics (print/web) solutions for individuals, and companies large and small; city agencies, think tanks and various other corporations.
Our designs stand in truth and help define the standards within a companies Brand.
We refine and create elegant designs that fit our clients needs and helps to increase their global footprint.
We look at each project organically and treat each project as a cohesive unit of systems.
Designing, therefore becomes a dance composed of elements of design and layout.

OF A MAN MAD
This poor widow's son grew up in the shadows of Harlem, a stone’s throw away from the sun. Raised on fast times and hard knocks, he studied quick and loved hard.
He dropped out of high school when he stopped being challenged and obtained his GED a whole year before his peers. He spent the next ten years exploring the world unencumbered by rules.
He developed his own rules yet respecting moral and ethical principles as he grew into a man.
In pursuit of higher education he received his BFA & M.Ed. from AIU online which allowed him to continue the freedom to be involved in helping others grow.
Continuing in this vein he is in the shadow of obtained his MA in Education. This book is a reflection of his times in Harlem and beyond.
